| Barona, Moronga, Pala, Pauma, Pechanga, Rincon, Sycuan, Valley View, Viejas, and
Ocean’s 11. These are just a few of the casinos in the area, not to mention the numerous
casinos in Reno, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, along the Mississippi River, and overseas. Train
to work at a casino, whether in California, across the country, abroad, or on a cruise ship.
Course one provides instruction on poker (Texas Hold ’em, Omaha, Seven Card Stud),
course two on house games (Black Jack, Pai Gow Poker, Mini-Baccarat, and three carnival
games), and course three teaches how to deal Craps & Roulette. In addition, learn how to
exchange money at the table, game security, customer service, and the interview process.
Each course is 128 hours. Sign up separately, or take all three!
The starting salaries in California for dealers range from $35,000–$50,000, with room to
move up the ranks. Upon completion of all three courses, students will have the opportunity
to work a casino night fundraising event to showcase their skills. In addition, they will
receive a Certificate of Accomplishment from MiraCosta College.
