Learn the craft of upholstery in this interesting and informative hands-on class. You will learn basic fundamentals, techniques and terminology and how to plan your project. Suitable for those who are entering the field as well as the DIYer. You will bring your own projects to work on. Wing, side, and dining chairs, stools, benches, ottomans, cushions and accessories are recommended as first
time projects. Those of you entering the field will begin to prepare your professional portfolio. Topics include:
• Tools, terms and supplies
• Overview of sewing machines
• Measuring and estimating
• Pattern layout (charting)
• Selecting fabrics
Upholstery of sofas and large items (no recliners) are reserved for advanced students.

Please read:  EARLY BIRD SPECIAL-$155: Register BEFORE 1/30 for this special class fee. A $15 material fee will be collected in class which includes limited supplies. Please bring binder and paper for notes. Shopping resources for supplies will be given in class.
